Everyone wants to make good use of the opportunities they have to earn scholarships. There’s academic scholarships, community service scholarships, athletic scholarships, etc. There are many common scholarships that lots of students apply for, such as the Hope Scholarship and the Zell Miller Scholarship, but there are also many unique and unusual scholarships that many people don’t know about. Some of these strange scholarship opportunities include:

The Asparagus Club Scholarship that awards someone with up to $2,000 who is earning a degree in a business, food management, or another relevant course of study leading to a career in the independent retail grocery industry.
The Tall Clubs International Student Scholarship that awards someone tall with up to $1,000 (minimum requirement for women is 5’10 and minimum requirement for men is 6’2).
The Stuck at Prom Scholarship that awards someone with up to $1,000 for creating a prom dress out of duct tape.
The Chick and Sophie Major Memorial Duck Calling Contest that awards the duck calling champ with up to $2,000.
The Flying Musicians Association Solo Program that awards a musician who wants to learn how to fly and many more other unique scholarships.

These are just a few examples of the many strange scholarship opportunities that students may not know exist.
