The holidays are a magical time of year and what makes the season feel even more alive is going on fun and festive dates, whether that’s with your significant other or close friends. There are a wide variety of Christmas date ideas out there, however, many struggle to find time to achieve them all. To simplify your life and take off some of the holiday stress, listed below are the top 15 best holiday date ideas. From going out to staying in, there is something for everyone and in the end it doesn’t really matter what you do with your significant other, because as long as you’re together, that’s all that counts.

For those who are more extroverted and like to go out, here are some ideas for you and your partner/friend:

Ice skating: They have several options for ice skating around different areas, depending on where you live, but two of the most popular ones are in Downtown Sugar Hill and Duluth. They have an outdoor rink called “Have an Ice Day Rinks” in Sugar Hill and in Duluth, for those who want more of a real skating experience, they have an indoor rink called “Atlanta Forum”.

Go present shopping for each other at the store

Go look at Christmas lights around town: Botanical Gardens located in Atlanta, Lakeside Lights at Margaritaville, Stone Mountain, or even for a more relaxed light show, you can drive around neighborhoods that have various Christmas lights.

Go get a tree together and decorate it: You can either chop it down at a Christmas tree farm or go to your local Home Depot and pick one out for cheaper.

Take holiday photos: To take couples photos for the holidays, you can take them with a “Santa”, at a local tree farm, in the snow, or even for a simple way, in your living room by a Christmas tree.

Go to local holiday parties/events around your town

Go sledding in the snow

For those of you who prefer staying in or not socializing as much, these ideas will be perfect for a night in:
