Encanto movie review

In 2021, Disney released their current top hit Encanto, where the protagonist Mirabel Madrigal, is on a mission to save her family’s miracle, also known as the miracle candle, which blessed the Madrigals with gifts. The candle’s magical flame ceases to go out and its wax ceases to show signs of melting away, as long as the candle keeps burning strong the magic that saved them would remain with them. The Madrigals are a magical family located in Colombia. Abuela Alma, while running away from her village that was under attack received a miracle; she ran with her kids Pepa, Julieta, and Bruno. The miracle ended up giving her family unique abilities and the magic from the miracle is passed down from generation to generation. The miracle is what keeps the Encanto and its people safe. Everyone in the Madrigal family except Mirabel got a gift. However, she may be the Madrigal’s last hope when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is now in trouble.
The soundtrack for Encanto has been considered people’s favorite part of the movie, especially. “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” became famous all over social media platforms especially TikTok with Camilo Madrigal’s famous line “A seven-foot frame, rats along his back when he calls your name it all fades to black yeah, he sees your dreams and feast on your screams.” “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” climbed up the music chart’s coming in at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 in its fourth week on the chart making it the highest-charting Disney song since Aladdin’s 1993 hit “A Whole New World.”
Disney’s Luisa Madrigal’s song “Surface Pressure” has managed to hit a lot of the older generations hard in the heart with her lines “Give it to your sister, your sister’s older give her all the heavy things we can’t shoulder … Give it to your sister, your sister’s stronger, see if she can hang on a little longer.” This song felt very personal to the older and middle children of families because they feel like they need to withhold all of these family burdens to keep everyone happy. Estefany Espinal says, “The song pulled at my heart because it’s really hard being an older sister to feel like I need to hold all this heavy pressure on my shoulders, and hearing that song just made me feel so many emotions. Kids now wouldn’t understand the meaning behind the song and only see it as catchy, but we older people see it as a song that perfectly describes the life of an older sibling.” Vivian Bridgman says that loves the visuals and the music from the movie. She also likes the fine details from the animation. Vivians favorite songs from Encanto are “Dos Orugitas” because the song is about how two caterpillars fell in love just like Abuela Alma and her husband Pedro. and “The Family Madrigal” because Mirabel gives a good understanding of everyone’s abilities and to her, its shows how much Mirabel loves her family even though she didn’t receive a gift as they did. “Surface Pressure” made it to the top 10 On the Billboard Hot 100. December 24, 2021, Encanto was added to Disney plus. It is a definite must-watch if you haven’t already seen it.
