The following events only lasted for about a month because in early March Tom Brady announced he was not quite done with his football career. Brady stated, “These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa.” Brady explained in further detail that he believed he had unfinished business and he can continue to lead his team to victory. Brady initially stated he was excited to spend more time with his family at home however a day after attending the Manchester United match against Tottenham Hotspur he changed his mind. No matter what follows Brady’s career his fans, teammates and family will continue to support him.
Tom Brady, arguably one of the best players in the NFL, has recently decided to put an end to his football career. Brady has played for the NFL for 22 seasons and has dedicated his life to football. Although he may no longer be on the field, fans will never forget his talent, determination, and love for the game. Brady put everything he had into the teams he played for, and his teammates and coaches will forever be grateful for that. Through two teams and seven superbowl rings, Tom Brady was an extraordinary athlete that no one will soon forget.
In early 2022, Tom Brady announced his retirement via his social media accounts. In the posts, he stated, “I have always believed the sport of football is an ‘all-in’ proposition — if a 100% competitive commitment isn’t there, you won’t succeed, and success is what I love so much about our game.” He went on to say, “This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore. I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention.” Though he broke many hearts when announcing his official retirement, fans understand that if he can’t give 100% on the field, then he shouldn’t be on the field. If you do something, do it with all your heart and all you can give. Fans know that Brady’s decision to retire was not made hastily; there were times where Brady’s NFL future was not yet decided. In his podcast a few days before announcing his official retirement, Brady said he was still, “going through the process” of deciding his future with the NFL. Brady made the decision that was best for him, which is all anyone can ask.
Because football was practically Brady’s entire life, many wonder what is next for him. One of Brady’s biggest focuses right now is running the three companies he currently co-founds: Autograph, BRADY, and TB12 Sports.
Autograph is a company that, “brings together the most iconic brands and legendary names in sports, entertainment and culture to create unique digital collections and experiences.” The website has digital art and collectible items signed by famous athletes. For example, there is a Tony Hawk skateboard signed by the skateboarder himself. Tom Brady is a huge investor in this company and really loves the work his company does and is a part of. To add on, Autograph is an NFT or or “Non-Fungible Token” company, which is, “a form of unique, digital asset that can be bought and sold online using the blockchain.” NFTs are usually made to trade digital art and collectibles, which is as previously stated, is what Autograph is all about.
TB12 sports is a lifestyle and wellness company. Their website has nutrition boxes, protein powders, and pre-workout powders. They also have books and coaches you can book for workout sessions. With this being said, even though Tom Brady is no longer playing sports, he still takes pride in helping others stay fit and in shape. TB12 takes a new and fresh approach to health and fitness, stating, “The goal of the company is to create a smarter, more holistic approach to health and wellness.” Tom Brady focuses on a new style of activeness, which emphasizes hydration, nutrition, mental fitness, and movement. Brady has also written a book on these principles and claims that the method of TB12 helped him stay in the NFL longer.
BRADY, a clothing company that focuses on athletic apparel, describes itself as, “the first technical apparel brand to apply two decades of pro sports level innovation and engineering to create a system of clothing that performs across every activity.” Along with being an owner of this company, Brady also models some of the clothing, which can be found on the BRADY website. Brady has put a lot of attention into working with and for these three companies; however, they are not the only thing Brady plans on spending time with while in retirement.
Brady also plans on spending lots of time giving back to charity and the community along with spending time with his family, which Brady says, “is my greatest achievement.” He is extremely proud of his family and is also very thankful for his wife. She has done all she can do, all the while supporting Brady in his career, as well as taking care of their family while Brady is away. Brady desperately wants to enrich the lives of others and support them as much as he can, just as he was supported throughout everything he achieved.
Even though Brady’s football career has come to an end, his position as an influencer and father is far from over. Whether you were a fan of Brady’s or not, there is no denying that he is doing incredible things now that he is retired. From here Brady can only go on to do more incredible things. Good luck Tom Brady, and enjoy your retirement!
