Music Midtown preview: Sept. 17-18

Held in Atlanta annually since 1994, Music Midtown is one of Georgia’s greatest music festivals. Every year hundreds of people flock to Piedmont Park to enjoy the three-day event featuring popular artists from across the country. Piedmont Park is set up with four separate stages allowing for multiple performances from a variety of artists. Performances will start at 12:30 pm and continue until 10:00 pm.

The setlist this year includes substantial names such as Maroon 5, 21 Savage, Jack Harlow, The Jonas Brothers, and Miley Cyrus. Dababy has recently been dropped from the lineup due to some insensitive, homophobic comments he made at Rolling Loud, Miami earlier this year.

The city of Atlanta has partnered with Music Midtown to allow free access to the festival if guests get vaccinated on site. Attendees can receive either the Johnson and Johnson or the Pfizer vaccine. This opportunity allows people in the community to get vaccinated who have not already. Two testing sites will be open from 11:30 am to 7:00 pm on September 18th and 19th. Both sites will accept walk-in appointments or online reservations.
